I want to give an account of an experience of healing I had as a result of my prayer of intercession to Bl. Mariam Thresia. I was suffering very much from three illnesses—stone in the bladder, water in the ovary and also appendicitis. The doctors concluded that operations were necessary to cure these three illnesses. We lacked big amounts of money for these operations. It was during this time that Fr. James Vamattam, our vicar sent me a prayer of intercession of Blessed Mariam Thresia printed on one side of Bl. Mother’s picture through my daughter Jilsha Mathew. He assured that I would be healed through her intercession. I prayed for Bl. Mother’s intercession and got cured of my illnesses and within two months. I was able to participate in two retreats in Bethania, Pullurampara and witness to my miraculous cure of these illnesses.

I express our deep gratitude and joy in having received a child as a result of Bl. Mariam Thresia’s intercession.

My elder child had some problem with his eyes. Also there was not enough milk for breast feeding him. When I got pregnant my second child, there were many problems. A few days I had to be hospitalized also. So we were afraid, this child also would be having some problems like the elder one. Then we prayed to Bl. Mariam Thresia and also promised to make an offering. As a result, my second baby was born without any health problems. Besides, I had enough milk to breastfeed this baby. Christin is the name of my second baby.

Our land which couldn’t be sold for a long time, as a result of the intercessory prayers of Bl. Mariam Thresia, could be sold for a good amount of money. For this favour we are deeply indebted to Bl. Mother. Also my daughter got healed with Mother’s help and she could participate in the competitions and get a high rank. For all these, a thousand thanks to Blessed Mariam Thresia.

We thank Bl. Mother a thousand times for making a very difficult operation successful. Even the doctors were doubtful of its success. Before the operation a sister had come to console and assure the patient. Afterwards however much we searched, we couldn’t find this sister. We have perfect faith that Bl. Mother had come there at the time of the operation

I got appointed as a doctor in govt. service two and half years ago through P.S.C selection . But I had to bear a lot of mental persecutions there. Five times I tried for a transfer, but failed. On 10th January, a staff member even broke my stethoscope. Then I prayed to Bl. Mariam Thresia and vowed to offer a stethoscope to Bl. Mother. On the tenth day after this Bl. Mother helped me to get a transfer in Trichur District itself. I make a thankful offering of this stethoscope to Jesus through Bl. Mariam Thresia.

My two pieces of land which couldn’t be sold for a long time, as a result of Bl. Mariam Threisa’s intercession, could be sold for good amounts of money. I also could buy a suitable house without delay. For this I thank Mother. My son-in-law was praying to get a job in the Gulf Countries . That prayer also was fulfilled. I thank mother for all these favours.

Even after two years of our marriage we couldn’t have a baby and hence we started medical treatment. But it was of no use. The medicines had no effect on the body. When we came to know that the doctors could not do anything we were so very upset mentally. During this time God led us to take part in a couples’ retreat at F.R.C., Kuzhikattussery in September 2003. Fr. Sebastian panjikkaran, Sr. Annie Attokkaran and Sr. Vijaya instilled courage in us and prayed for us. Ten days after that I was examined and found pregnant. I believe that we got this favour through the intercession of Bl. Mariam Thresia and S.D. Joseph Vithayathil. On 24-04-2004, after seven months, Jesus gave us a male child through a cicerian operation. Our son is perfectly healthy. A thousand thanks to Bl. Mother.

In May 2005, I came here and prayed with the desire to have a house of my own. I made my prayers in the convent chapel and also in Bl. Mother’s hosue at Puthenchira. Exactly after one month, as a result of the intercession of Bl. Mother, I could buy a very convenient concrete house. I offer flowers of gratitude to the Holy Trinity and Bl. Mariam Thresia.

My son started vomiting. For one month he suffered from this. We went to four doctors one after the other. But it was of no use at all. He could not attend class for one month. When he reached class, he would start vomiting. Then we went to Lissieu Hospital, Ernakulam and underwent many tests. Afterwards they wanted us to have CT scan. Meanwhile my mother went to Bl. Mariam Thresia and prayed for my son’s healing and also promised that if he got cured, we would come here and express our gratitude in writing. After that he never vomited. We thank Jesus and Bl. Mariam Thresia a thousand times for this great favour to our family.
